It is 7:45 p.m. and I’ve just sat down on the couch for the night. We had a filling dinner…I feel a little hungry, but mostly I am craving something sweet. I’m tempted to whip up a quick batch of brownies…I think I have all the ingredients. But I’ve eaten so well all day and I don’t want to un-do my entire day by eating half a pan of brownies.
I know I am not the only person who gets into this situation! Many people struggle with resisting packing extra calories in at night when the cravings hit.
BUT, I’ve found that this snack is a great solution for sweet tooth cravings and satisfying my need for a munchie at night without killing my healthy day! So in that vain, I air-pop some popcorn, drizzle some melted chocolate chips on top and place the bowl in the freezer for about 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. The quantities and ratios can be up to you (obviously the more chocolate you use, the less healthy it becomes).
