Last night we had a lighter dinner and I was craving a chocolaty dessert. I warded off the temptation to run to the store to get some slow-churned ice cream and instead blended up this healthier ice-cream wanna be. Made with Greek yogurt and peanut butter you’ll get a protein punch instead of just the fat and sugar found in ice-cream AND it will pleasantly satisfy your sweet tooth.
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- 3/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 or 2 TBS peanut butter
- 2 TBS (approximately) chocolate syrup
- sprinkle of cinnamon
- splash of milk
- chopped nuts for topping (optional)
Microwave the frozen banana for about 30 seconds in order to remove the peel and slice into 1 inch chunks. Combine all the ingredients in the food processor or blender and mix until smooth. Pour into a bowl. top with nuts if you want, and enjoy!
